Delaware  COUNTY COVID NEWS

Iowa Hospitals are becoming overwhelmed. Please wear a mask to save a friend, a family member, save yourself, save a life.

Today at 3 pm there are 26 new positive cases in Deleware County. This brings the total to 1316 reported cases and a total positive rate of 23.10%. The daily positive rate is 40.35%. The 14-day Delaware Dept of Education Average Positivity Rate is 24.70%.  People infected  551 with an infection rate of 3.24%

There were 17 more recoveries reported for a total of 743.

A total of 5696 people have been tested. Tested last 24hrs. 57

No additional deaths, leaving a total of 21 deaths. The fatality rate today is 1.59% as of Nov. 18

This brings the total to 1205 reported cases and a total positive rate of 18.82% . The daily positive rate is 60.87. The 14-day Delaware Dept of Education Average Positivity Rate is 25.30%.  People infected 524 with an infection rate of  3.02% There were  5 more recoveries reported for  total of 673. . A total of 5466 people have been tested. Tested last 24hrs.23. No additional deaths, leaving a total of 18 deaths. The fatality rate today is 1.49%. Hospitalizations 10 as of Nov.14th.

The other 9.3 percent still need to be reminded that seat belts save lives.  • Unbelted rear passengers are 2.7 times more likely to be killed than belted rear passengers. • Men make up the majority of those killed in motor vehicle traffic crashes. In 2018, 65 percent of the 22,697 passenger vehicle occupants who were killed were men. Men also wear their seat belts at a lower rate than women do—52 percent of men killed in crashes were unrestrained, compared to 39 percent
